£10million management buy-out complete at Hamilton Rentals
2e2, a leading provider of mission-critical IT services has today announced the completion of an MBO by the management team of IT rentals company, Hamilton Rentals
Newbury, 16 July 2008 – 2e2, a leading provider of mission-critical IT services has today announced the completion of an MBO by the management team of IT rentals company, Hamilton Rentals. The deal, funded by the management team, means that Hamilton Rentals is once again an independently owned company. It was formerly a division of Compel, which was acquired by 2e2 in March 2007.
Hamilton Rentals work with leading vendors so that it can deliver the appropriate solution to fit its customer’s requirements. It has a number of strategic alliances with organisations including Hewlett Packard, IBM, and Microsoft. The management team approached 2e2 in September 2007 with the offer of the buy-out, which was accepted as IT equipment leasing is not core to 2e2’s business.
“While the support of a company such as 2e2 is a real benefit to us from a financial point of view, being independently owned means that existing and potential customers see us in a different light,” said Martin O’Conner, MD of Hamilton Rentals. “By removing the link to a larger organisation, Hamilton Rentals can now move into channels which may not have been previously open to us. We thank 2e2 for this opportunity and look forward to making the business a success in its own right.”
