2e2 to harness Generation Y* talent to develop its technology Innovation Centre

2e2, a leading provider of mission-critical IT services, is looking for a truly talented teenager who will add something different to its current way of thinking, and help generate ideas to launch the new 2e2 Innovation Centre at Benham Valence, Newbury.

7th July 2008, Newbury, UK – 2e2, a leading provider of mission-critical IT services, is looking for a truly talented teenager who will add something different to its current way of thinking, and help generate ideas to launch the new 2e2 Innovation Centre at Benham Valence, Newbury. Today the company launched the 2e2 Newbury Apprentice 2008 competition for teenagers** who now have the opportunity to take part by creating and presenting innovative ideas to promote the use of social networking technologies in business. The winning apprentice will sit on 2e2’s board of top executives, receive a years tuition fees paid by 2e2, and have the chance to be mentored by some of the UK’s most successful business people.

Generation Y* is the first generation to grow up using IT and the internet. The rapid adoption by young people of mobile phones and consumer internet tools has changed the way that a whole generation communicates. Generation Y intuitively collaborates, in real-time, using texting, social networking and IM far more readily than email and traditional telephony. At 2e2 we want to know how business can use this technology to gain real productivity benefits, greater efficiencies and competitive advantage.
