2e2 Founder wins Technology CEO of the Year
2e2 wins Technology CEO of the Year (Private Firm) at the UK Technology Innovation and Growth awards
2e2 Group, the leading provider of IT Managed Services is delighted to announce that the Group’s CEO Terry Burt, has won the award for Technology CEO of the Year (Private Firm) at the UK Technology Innovation and Growth awards.
As a finale to the two-day UK Technology Innovation and Growth Forum, the awards celebrate the individuals and companies that are driving the UK technology industry into the future.
Five finalists were selected for the Technology CEO of the Year. At the awards ceremony on Tuesday 21st February 2006, Terry successfully beat the four other hopefuls and walked away with the prestigious award.
The judging panel consisting of key industry figures, analysts, journalists and technologists awarded Terry with the award as a result of his exceptional leadership and his ability to drive the 2e2 Group forward. It also recognises his strategic vision, inspirational leadership as well as a real instinct for the business, its market and growth opportunities.
The panel commented: “Terry Burt has held a number of prominent positions within the IT industry with both Star Group, and NCR Europe. Harnessing all of his experiences to date; in 2002 he set up his latest venture, 2e2, which he has taken to over £100m turnover in just 3 years, projecting over £150m for 2006 whilst maintaining an excellent profit for the competitive services sector of 9%. Like any successful CEO, he places great emphasis on the strength and involvement of his management team.”
The award follows a highly successful 2005 for both Terry and the Group, during which 2e2 has made a number of acquisitions as well as announcing numerous substantial contract wins. At the beginning of 2006 2e2 were also able to announce that their managed service revenues had beaten expectations and hit 30% of their full year revenues.
