Terry Burt, CEO of 2e2, the IT managed services provider today gave a positive outlook for the industry and the Group and provided the following comment on trading and progress with the business:

 

“Whilst most industry commentators are feeling less positive about the general outlook for the sector, we remain convinced that by focussing on specific sectors – managed services, IP telephony, security and storage for example – and by careful execution and client partnership, we should be able to maintain an above industry growth rate.

 

Certain market segments are encountering particularly strong growth. IP telephony is now experiencing large-scale adoption as companies recognise the easily attainable benefits and cost savings that this brings. Security and Storage are equally strong with increasing regulatory and compliance requirements necessitating that companies implement additional automation in these areas.

 

Our growth at 2e2 has mirrored these trends, with acquisitions in areas where demand is strong or in areas where we require a technological or geographical presence.  It is the aligning of our structure and offering with that of the market, that has driven our success and revenue growth.  I am pleased to report that we now have annualised run rate revenues of over £140 million, with managed services representing approximately 25% of forecast revenues for the full year. “

 

The significant increase in 2e2’s revenue can be attributed to strong organic growth and a number of acquisitions and contract wins which have taken place throughout 2005. 

During the course of the year, the Group have acquired specialist skills from Arum IT Specialists, and the TriSys and Yul Data Security businesses, all of which have widened and enhanced 2e2’s current service portfolio.   

 

TriSys Limited is one of the UK’s leading providers of data storage and network backup solutions.  Their solutions include Data Management, Archiving, Data Protection and Storage and their clients include a number of blue chip companies.

Yul Data Security is one of the Netherlands’ most successful providers of Data Management, Data Security and Storage Solutions.  They provide solutions to a strong customer base, consisting of medium and large enterprises.

  

Based in Guernsey, Aurum IT Specialists, brings over fifty man years of experience in security, enterprise collaboration and complex infrastructure network projects.  Through their provision of consultancy, planning, installation, integration, migration, management and support, Aurum will provide broader and deeper technical skills to 2e2’s client base.

 

A variety of contract wins from each of the Group’s subsidiaries has also contributed significantly to 2e2’s successful year.  These have included wins from the Group’s networking subsidiary Prime Business Solutions, who have been awarded contracts with British Airways, London Borough of Barnet and the London Borough of Hillingdon. 

 

Norsk Data, its support services division has also been awarded the renewal of a three year contract with Vivista, the ICT and Business support provider.  The contract will see Norsk providing hardware support for Vivista’s desktop systems and Wintel servers for both their internal and external customers.

 

Motifact, another subsidiary within the support services division have most recently been awarded a contract with the Dutch National Lottery, De Lotto.  Motifact will provide a solution that monitors and controls the transaction process for De Lotto, a process that is vital for selling and validating lottery tickets via dedicated stores and the internet.
