2e2 founders win National Entrepreneur of the Year award
2e2 founders win Ernst and Young's National Technology and Communication award
2e2 Group plc, the leading managed IT services provider, is delighted to announce that its founders Terry Burt and Mark McVeigh have been awarded the Ernst and Young’s Technology and Communication Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Terry Burt, Chief Executive Officer and Mark McVeigh, Chief Operating Officer successfully beat regional winners from across the UK at last nights national awards ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel.
The competition began back in June when the pair won the South Region Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the year award. They were recognised for their ability to identify, acquire, improve and inspire existing businesses to complement their existing portfolio.
Formed in 2002 by Terry and Mark, the 2e2 Group is a managed service provider consisting of a balanced portfolio of companies operating in the UK and Netherlands. The Group provides skilled resources that organisations need in order to manage and maintain large and increasingly complex IT infrastructures.
The award comes at a time when the Group have recently announced interim results with a revenues of £46.2m, an increase of 71% from 2004. In the last month 2e2 have also acquired TriSys Limited and Yul Data, exposing the Group to the data protection, storage and security markets. Following these acquisitions, 2e2 is now operating at an annualised run rate of over £140 million.
