Newbury, Berkshire – September 21st 2005 – Prime Business Solutions, the Network specialists for 2e2 Group, are pleased to announce they have been shortlisted as a finalist for the ‘ICT Project of the Year’ Reseller Award in the CRN Channel Awards 2005.
The project entered by Prime was for a £1.2m, 40-month contract to provide a managed MPLS IP VPN to Halcrow encompassing 26 sites across the UK. Halcrow is one of the UK's leading consultancies specialising in the provision of planning, design and management services for infrastructure development worldwide.
The solution for Halcrow is built around a highly scalable THUS MPLS IP VPN with Class of Service (CoS) providing guaranteed bandwidth for video conferencing. Prime have provided comprehensive network design, router staging and pre configuration, installation and project management services and have successfully migrated Halcrow from their existing BT net equIP Wide Area Network (WAN).
The ICT Project of the Year will be awarded for the most outstanding achievement by a reseller or services/solutions provider in terms of project delivery. It will take into account not only the size and complexity of the project, but also the level of difficulty and the innovation and dedication shown by the supplier.
The award ceremony is due to take place on Thursday 24th November 2005 at Battersea Park Arena, London.
