Camden and Islington Trusts achieve cost savings and improve service levels with 2e2.
2e2 to implement a combination of remote and site-based managed services to deliver improved benefits to IT users and patients
Newbury, 15th April 2010 – Systems Integrator 2e2 today announced it has been awarded a contract from Camden PCT, Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust and NHS Islington to deliver a five year managed service for ICT. By implementing a combination of remote and site-based managed services 2e2 will work closely with the trusts to reduce cost and offer guaranteed levels of support for mission critical systems thereby delivering significant benefits to IT users and patients.
The complexity of the service transition and the need for both infrastructure remediation and transformation highlighted the importance of effective programme management from the outset. 2e2 placed a Programme Manager and a team of experienced service transition and project management professionals on site to ensure that the overarching program delivers its stated objectives.
A structured transition is essential to the multiple work streams which include the transfer of staff and the need to carry out a thorough process of discovery and service definition. 2e2 has identified the key targets for service improvement and ranked these in order of importance. Having worked closely with the steering committee to define this ranking, 2e2 has created detailed project plans for the agreed work and has also completed a scoping exercise for the balance of the program.
2e2 has used it skills and extensive experience to shape the remainder of the five year program into a series of discrete projects. Official six monthly reviews, using agreed industry standard metrics for success, means that the trusts can easily measure real value from the program and can ensure that service levels are improved before the next program phase begins.
